| My husband John, our son Ryan and I (Serin) first arrived in France for our search for that ideal French property back in July 2002. We had sold up back home in the UK and like many people came searching for that better life for our family here in France. We stayed at our relatives holiday home in Northern France while we were searching for our new home. We began our search in Abbeville but unfortunately we had started our search at the wrong time of year. We found out that a lot of estate agents took their summer vacation in August, so most of them were closed. We decided to extend our search and look further a field but did not find anything suitable. So we planned to head towards Iimoges further south. Unlike me, John and Ryan hated looking at houses. It had turned into more of a chore than anything else. I had to rely totally on John as I did not speak a lot of French back then. It was extremely difficult for me but I would have been lost on my own without John there with me. We never actually reached limoges to see what was on offer but after a couple of days going out and about we ended up quite by chance in Neufchatel-en-Bray. John was getting tired of driving and we decided to pull off the A28 at the next exit. We drove up the quaint high street passing a beautiful Church on our right. The 1st thing we headed for was 'les toilettes’; we found a nice café and had a good lunch. John who already spoke good French being Mauritian had a good chat with the owner of the bar. After thanking him for the excellent food we headed back across the road towards the car but I spotted an Immobilier (agence Immobilier de L’if) a few doors away from where we were. Of course I dragged John and Ryan inside, straight away we noticed something different in the way we were treated from all the other agencies we had dealt with. Jacky the owner found us our 1st home in Normandy and our next door neighbour turned out to be the Café owner (coincidence or fate not sure which?). The agency made us feel like old friends from the moment we met. We were so impressed with the services we received that we decided to team together with them. Together we have extended the services to what they are now and N.P.S was born. Over the past years we have gained a wide range of knowledge and experience and made many useful contacts in many trades.
