Full Description: We invite you to stay in our restored traditional Normandy farmhouse offering character and atmosphere combined with modern comforts and facilities. At LE CHAT CHOCOLAT you will receive a warm, friendly and attentive welcome. Gourmet quality (but unpretentious) French , International and Oriental meals are available on a Table d'Hôtes basis. We offer first-class hospitality at competitive rates for overnight stops and short breaks, with generous reductions for extended visits.
There are many good reasons for staying at LE CHAT CHOCOLAT, near Forges-les-Eaux, whether your visit to Normandy is for business, pleasure or other personal pursuits. Like any good B & B, we offer the basic, high quality essentials, with many extras.

Location: LE CHAT CHOCOLAT is located just off the D915 road about midway between Neufchâtel-en-Bray and Gournay-en-Bray, in the heart of the Pays de Bray, an area of Upper Normandy in the Seine Maritime offering lush undulating countryside spotted with pastoral farmland, fields and forests. LE CHAT CHOCOLAT is about three kilometres south of the very popular and attractive tourist resort and thermal spa of Forges-les-Eaux, and is located right opposite the Château de Bray and its associated forest. The Pays de Bray, a "buttonhole"-shaped geological feature of fertile meadowland, boasts numerous orchards and dairy farms, and is renowned for the quality of its dairy and apple produce, including cider, calvados, the renowned Petit Suisse Gournay yoghurt, and the famous heart-shaped appellation controlée Neufchâtel cheese.
Neighbourhood activites: A brand new racecourse has recently been built at Mauquenchy, just a few kilometres away from Forges-les-Eaux, where, as well as local horse races, national and international events are also run. Several other racecoiurses with a variety of events are located within an easy drive. Golfers are well catered for in the area, Forges-les-Eaux itself boasting a practice course (at Club Med), and the prestigious golf course at St. Saëns being only about 20 kilometres away. A colourful, authentic farmers' market can be found either in Forges-les-Eaux or one of the other surrounding villages each day of the week. Throughout the year the region stages fêtes and festivals of almost every conceivable kind, including the famous Fête de Cheval in the Forges-les-Eaux forest annually in July. Forges-les-Eaux is a favourite weekend destination for many Parisians (Paris is only about two hours away by car, and considerably less by train) and offers many amenities, including an excellent selection of cafés, bars, hotels and restaurants. In addition, this pleasant town possesses supermarkets and numerous shops catering not only for tourists but also for everyday needs. The area attracts tourists due to its facilities (which include a thermal spa and a casino), undulating landscape, mature forests, and the leisure lake on the edge of town.
